Winter 2011-12
Marla performs the lead role in the short film, I’m Almost Always Wrong, written and directed by Dan Smolla. She is cast as the lead role in Ten Pins in the Sky, a feature comedy about nuclear bowling. She is also cast in the lead role in A Night at Jack’s Place, a feature film about the last days of burlesque in Chicago.  Marla is cast in Casual Encounters, a new web series written and directed by David Miller.
Fall 2011
Marla is cast in the comedy, El Mari Chi Chi: A Robert Rodriguez Burlesque, written by Salsation Theatre, and directed by Jonald Reyes. The show runs Saturdays, at 7:30 pm, February 4 to March 31, at the Gorilla Tango Theatre. From DIY Film Chicago’s interview with The Catastrophe writer/director Michael Smith: “Marla was the best,” Smith said of the auditions that brought Seidell on board. “She was just very convincing at hitting all of those notes that the script required: angry, sad, playful and flirty, drunk, lustful, etc.” Full article. The Catastrophe won Best Dramatic Short at the Illinois International Film Festival 2011! Performs in the lead role in the Northwestern short, The Flying Hendirected by Zach Meyer. Marla plays the part of Dawn White, in the Chicago zombie film, Planet Dead, written and directed by Larry Greene. She is cast in the lead female role of the DePaul University student short, “Intrusion.”

Marla performs the lead role of Carlie in the mystery/surreal short, The Catastrophe, written and directed by Michael Glover Smith. Marla is cast for the lead part of Anne in a psychological thriller feature written and directed by Justin Todd.
Marla performs in multiple roles in the Blackdove Production of The Karaoke Artist, directed by Aaron Lucas, and as an ensemble member in Lampoon the System’s Obama’s Oval Office Live!, directed by Greg Callozzo and written by Jon Pawelko. The Chicago Reader’s Lauri Apple interviewed Marla for her Culture Vulture column, mentioning Obama’s Oval Office Live! She performs the cameo role of “Marla” in the short comedy, 6 Rules, directed by Michael Jolls. Wraps on Rose White, a fantasy thriller short directed by Dan Kuhlman. Marla performs the part of Lola in Four, a film written and directed by Robert Beshara. She also performs in the short film, Opposite Sex, a DePaul short written and directed by Rick Fonck.
Spring 2011
Marla plays the lead role of Janet in the DePaul University film, Malpractice, directed by Nathan Borgo.
Winter 2011 
Marla plays the lead role of Janet in the FourKin films production, Gone, written and directed by Sandra Denton, with Chicago actors Sorin Brouwers and Eric Simon.
Summer  2010
Marla performs the part of Cheryl in Kevin Epperson’s thriller, The Interrogation.
