Bio

In Chicago, Marla Seidell is well-known in the worlds of independent film, television, theatre and journalism. After studying European History at the University of Amsterdam, where she was awarded a Fulbright fellowship, Marla returned to her native Chicago to embark on a career as an arts and culture journalist. It was during this time that she also returned to her first love of acting, making her film debut in the indie thriller The Interrogation in 2009. She has since followed that up with a flurry of work in theatre, as an extra in the television shows Boss and The Playboy Club, as well as substantial roles in the indie shorts Opposite Sex, 6 Rules, Rose White and the surreal mystery/drama The Catastrophe where she played the lead role. Marla has studied the Meisner technique at Chicago’s Black Box Studio, which has enabled her to bring impressive range and diversity to the many characters she has portrayed.
